Name: Kelras Eldant
Race: Half-Elf Revenant
Envoy of: Reemis
Alignement: Chaotic Neutral
Skills: Decades of training have honed the body of Kelras with bows and blades alike, he is dexterous, well read, artistic and physically adept, but has almost no magical potential.
Kelras has no inclination to back down in unfavorable situations, even if he puts himself into them through sheer stubbornness. He'd rather fight his way out of a dragon's den than take back something he's said.Slothful:
Anything that doesn't fall into the purview of his goals almost always takes the backburner, and only acts of direct injustice or rage truly motivate Kelras to do anything. Otherwise he's always searching for the easiest way to complete the task at hand so he can get back to whatever he truly wants or needs to do.Apathetic/Blunt:
Kelras is honest to a fault, in ways others won't always take kindly to and in no short part because of his hosts arrogance. Unless his vengeful nature towards an injustice takes the wheel, he can easily come off as rude and direct, even if his intention isn't to be insulting (though it often is.)
Kelras Eldant was scouting No Man's Land to see the progress of the advancing empire from the north when one of the unexpected new technologies rendered their hiding spots useless. Before they were given a chance to run or identify themselves, they found their position rained upon by Warforged. Unable to retaliate, Kelras fell to the ground with a bolt sticking from his chest. With blood in his lungs and the light fading from his eyes, he unwillingly shut them as his head sinks to the ground, but instead of a tunnel of light he's greeted by the sound of dripping water.
"Fragile isn't it? Life I mean." A soft voice comes from the dark around him.
Kelras shoots up to find himself in an unknown cave, and upon inspecting himself sees the gaping hole in his chest. "Who's there? Where is this?!" He demands quickly as he comes to his feet. "If this is one of your Emperor's vile magic, you'll come to regret this!"
"You're angry? Good." The voice comes again, this time there's a direction to it, but instead of a person there's only a vague outline, a shadow sitting on a nearby rock. "There's no magic here, not the kind you'd expect. You're still dying, I can hear the final beats of your heart. Tell me then, if you could get revenge, even if you wouldn't live to see it, would you?"
Kelras' face turned rather ugly, annoyed with all the questions of this shadowy person, but the hole in his chest gave some merit to the voice, and after some thought he realized that the dripping water was actually slowing down. "Are you a demon after my soul?" He asks finally.
A soft chuckle rings from upon the rock. "Nothing of the sort, your soul is yours, but your body... You only need to give it to me, I'm not a thief." The shadow comes forward, each step the featureless humanoid mass shifts until it's a blank copy of the half-elf. "I wish you had more time for me to explain. I have my own mission, and if I can conclude it I'll promise that the Empire that hurt you will join you in ruin Keldras Eldant..."
A few minutes later, in No Man's Land, a bloodied corpse takes a deep, gasping breath. Kelras' shaking hand reaches up to grasp the bolt from his diaphragm, yanking it free with a crunch and tossing it to the side. Slowly he rolls over, beginning to stand as he knows soon the shooters will come to confirm their kills. At first with staggering steps, he begins to run back to the south...
