Hi there, I'm an asshole. Gonna put That one up front. I'm also a nerd, and sadly those thing can go hand in hand a lot of the time. I often say things i don't mean, especially around those who know me well, so if you've just met me and I'm nice, give me like... a month. I say mean things, probably as some kind of defense mechanism to stop me from getting close to people. I try to fight it, but it's there. I promise I rarely mean to hurt you, and if I do, let me know. Please. Outside of warnings though, I'd say I'm a pretty decent human most of the time. I have some necessary struggles with morality that are interesting. Now don't worry, I'm not a murderer, but I think a lot about the nature of right and wrong, to the point of infuriating those around me. I don't like to take things at face value, so I may openly question the nature of the morality of murder in front of you, and work through logical implications of different stances. My current state on most moral beliefs is not knowing, in fact. Subjective morality to me is pretty obvious, I think killing and stealing and torture are all things I don't wanna do, but that all stems from me not wanting to go to jail/ not wanting to hurt people. Whether or not there's some ultimate morality that's true independent of me, is what I want to know more about.

Outside of internally and externally debating the nature of the universe, I also spend a lot of time doing homework because hahahahahaha STEM majors. I can get into the "I have more homework than you" game. Watching my engineering friends die doing Thermo is almost painful. A lot of my not RPing free time is spent up either on games, programming, or math. Yes I'm one of those weird fuckers who likes math. Some might think this weird, but honestly until you see the beauty of complex exponentiation, or modern number theory, you just don't understand man. Look into it, I promise you'll cry when you see the light. Besides that, I cook a lot when i can, I live in dorms now but you should see what I can do with a gas stove and a knife. If I have an art, it's food.
Habits: I don't drink water from the tap. Ever. I don't care if it's cold or not, I'm going out in shorts and you can't stop me.
Hobbies: Cooking, Programming, Overwatch, Magic the Gathering, Math, Rubik's Cubes, DnD.
Fears: Being left Vulnerable, Failure.
Likes: Fluffy animals, When the dice favor me, Games, Scaly animals, Math.
Dislikes: Sad doggos, when the dice hate me, outside, cruelty.

Cards On The Table

Rp's Currently Gming: None

What Brings You To Role Player Guild: The death of my first Roleplay Site
Life Before You Came To Role Player Guild: Oh Jesus. So there was this site, orignally known as Your Pants. It was wonderful, and any Nerdfighters probably know what I'm talking about. My first Roleplay's were on that site, and I was S H I T. The worst you could imagine. Oh god part of me is glad that the old site is buried and lost to time, in a data shredded pile that can't ever be recovered (STAY AWAY FROM THE WAYBACK MACHINE IF YOU LOVE ME). Any way, that site when through a couple iterations, from site death to revival to death to revival. The people rotated and left and returned until one day, we all were gone. I found the site somewhere between my departure and the overall death of that site's RP section. Good friends were made, lost and died there.
Life Since You Came To Role Player Guild: Bit less Nostalgic and more cheery for this part then. Guild's been nice, and I've been on and off as life got harder or easier at different points, but I think I've stabilized on something good where I am now.

Quotes or Sayings: "What do you mean I can only have 7 shots of Espresso?"
Theme Song: I'm a sucker for jazzed up versions of childhood songs.
Advice To The World:
Anything Else: I think people shoot for happiness, and while that's good, I don't think you should ever achieve it. You need to keep upping your standards, and never become complacent.

As Mar-vell spoke about the Flerken, he started to be in awe of them. Growing that fast and being as terrifying as they were, he was surprised the universe wasn't run by the adorable monsters. He was glad they had a space doctor to help with the birthing process, maybe they could get through this without making too much of a mess. As the president walked in and grabbed salt, and ran back out, his head turned. He had no idea what that was for, but he didn't get this far in life by ignoring patently weird things such as that, so he joined the growing crowd, and heading into the Quinjet.

Entering the Medbay, he inspected the scene in front of him and gave an incredibly concerned look towards Niah, before hearing a flurry of things. Firstly, that Niah's leg was getting worse and that she was possessed?. On any other day, he wouldn't have believed it, but having just fought a demon bear, he made the connection well enough. Additionally, she wanted the room clear, and he was willing to leave, but he piped up, standing just at the edge of the bay. He was about to offer some form of assistance, before the exorcism commenced. He started to step out, but paused, and listened to the words. He couldn't get all of them, but he was pretty sure he could do half an exorcism now. Still, this wasn't anywhere he wanted to be at the moment, and he waited quietly outside as the literal demon was dealt with.

As Cassian smirked at Arthur, he felt a twinge of his old life. The way he was saying things, the self-assuredness, it was things he used to have, and remnants were still in here. Politics, thinking of ways to get people to do what he wanted, thinking he was better than other people. But now, he felt like trying to be better was a bit like being the tallest dwarf, the very existence of gods made them that much lesser. Instead of attempting to react directly, Arthur collected himself, and smiled, "Apologies, my voice was quiet so Apollo wouldn't hear, not you. Don't worry, not everything is about you."

That dig was maybe a bit mean, but he was getting a bad vibe from Cassian, and he was sure he could take it. "Sorry, I don't think we've met, who are you again? I'm Arthur, and this is Andy." He said, looking up at the boy, and straightening himself. Cassian was practically looming over him, but he didn't let that get to him. "It's neat how you know what's going on in Zeke's head, but I'm sure he'll be fine." Arthur didn't know Zeke too well, but he always seemed to be able to take care of himself. Exhaling, he felt good about himself, confident for the first time in awhile, and not at all put off by this new kid.

Oli nodded at Laura, he had hoped that that would be the case, being an Avenger and managing a farm sounded borderline impossible, so he was happy that she was proficient. The last thing he wanted was to explain to the team that he accidentally made scrambled flerken eggs, least of all to Goose. He had the sneaking suspicion that he'd find cat piss in his room until the day he died if that had happened. Running off to the barn to get towels, he returned just as the team got back to the homestead. Dropping off the towels in the room, he said, "Thank you so much for your help here." to Laura, before going out to meet the team.

Greeting Matt, he waved and said, "Everyone got in safe, Laura's delivering them at the moment, how ever long the eggs take to hatch and what we'll need to do to keep them safe after that is beyond me." Oliver explained. "They'll be in the laundry room, unless Laura has a better place for them. I'm sure between whatever equipment they use for normal eggs, and all of us, we'll be able to get something together to help them along the way." The only part that really worried him was whether or not the momma flerken would be able to help them still, or if they'd be too preoccupied with caring for their spawn.

Arthur had to keep himself from glaring at the God of The Sun. He didn't quite think he hated the gods, but there was a kind rage brimming within him towards them. He didn't even know if it would be fair to hate them for the mere fact that they were deities. A kind of cosmic racism felt wrong, but at the same time, they were the things who could wipe him off the face of the Earth with a thought, so apprehension towards them still felt meritied. In any case, he didn't want it to be obvious, lest he be turned into a worm.

He crossed his arms whispered back to ANdy, "I don't know, but I don't want anything to do with it." He was trying not to sound scared, but his voice came off as monotone and flat. As he stepped off to be alone with Nancy, Arthur noticeably relaxed. It sucked that these gods would be a regular part of his life from now on, most people got to live their entirety of their lives and not even know they were real, but now they would randomly show up at what was practically his front doorstep, and he couldn't do anything about it. If he left,m he might be less likely to run into them, but then monsters would surely find him, and besides, he liked it at camp, and really didn't want to leave.

Oliver took a breath for a moment as he petted Fluffy's head, before nodding at Laura, "Well, I mean." He paused, looking for words, "We didn't expect the Flerken to be pregnant, but that's been resolved viz a vis me." He explained, gesturing to himself, "They're going to be coming back soon with a male one." He smiled at Laura, having a bit of difficulty imagining what it was like being a civilian married to an Avenger. He didn't know if this kind of insanity was the norm, or if pregnant cat aliens pushed the line of that at all. As the cats continued to lay eggs, Oliver hesitated.

"To be clear though, animal husbandry or uh... alien? Alien husbandry isn't exactly my forte." That seemed like the right name for it, he though, as animals were technically a kingdom of living organisms on Earth, so, technically speaking, aliens couldn't be animals. That made sense to him at least. "I'm really sorry to make a mess of your towels, but if you have any better ideas for how to care for these fuzzy beasts, I'd love to hear them." He didn't want to put that on Laura per say, but he was a bit out of his depth on this one, and he didn't expect Dr. Larson to be back for at least half an hour.

Arthur smiled as they made their pact. He didn't think it would be enforceable if Chiron or anybody wanted to oppose it, but the thought of them at least trying to stay together. However, his gratefulness for this newfound arrangement was dwarfed by his concern that the weather was suddenly changing. This probably wasn't good, even if it gave them a welcome break from the chill. He nodded at Andy, before saying, "Sorry we didn't get to finish the snowman, but yeah, we should see what's going on." Whatever had come, he had a bad feeling about it.

Walking with Andy towards the Pavillion, Arthur did let himself relish the change of weather. He disliked the snow so much that this slight break from the torrent of snow and cold that had been attacking them was most welcome. His hair was wet with the snow that had fallen on him turning to water, and he kind of shook his head a bit, doing what he could to make himself semi dry and presentable. Entering the pavillion, he looked on to see Apollo, and immediately shrunk back. He wasn't going anywhere near a god, and he really didn't want Andy to approach him either. He still felt scared of them, with all the power they help, and all of their apathy for human life.

Oliver nodded at Eve, grabbing Muffin as well sounded like a good idea, the sooner the Flerken were away from civilians, the better. Though Kwassi showed doubts, the broader team consensus was to race them over. Oli waS pretty certain he could run them over safely, given that the laws of physics got pretty relaxed when it came to his speed. He nodded at Amelia, and said, "Pretty new to it, but yeah, I can zip around." Before scooping up the two not-kitties, and giving Zuzu one last look. He shrugged, if he was male, there was no chance of pregnancy, and he trusted the team, so he saw no need to take him.

Turning his back with the Flerken in his arms, he drew breath, and felt his speed run though him. It was always a weird feeling, a kind of nervous electricity, that wanted to slip and go everywhere, but he held onto it, and directed it forward, heading out the door. It was always hard to explain exactly what he saw when he ran, it wasn't that things were slower, per say, but that the number of things he could do per second was just more, and he could perceive all his options. Soon, he was on the road, and even faster after that, he was at back at the homestead.Stepping in, he announced his arrival, "Hey all, I'm back, some of the Flerken were giving birth so I ran them back ahead of the others." He said to the general house, before quickly looking for towels, and finding them in the laundry room. Laying them down on the ground and putting the Flerken on top of them, he scratched his head, having no idea how to properly deal with Flerken eggs.

Arthur nodded and waved at they were passed by Leda and Kiera, he knew he should probably talk to Kiera more, but most of his time at this point was spent with Andy and Dem. It still nagged at him though, maybe the Big Three kids should stick together? They'd probably be a force to be reckoned with if anybody attacked them, but he really didn't want to start building his friendships around the most effective ways to not die. He liked his friends, and wanted to keep that part of his life semi-normal, if only to just let him have a semblance of a regular childhood.

Arthur smiled at Andy, she was sweet, and very protective. He didn't mind that though, he liked knowing he was cared about, the only thing that worried him was dragging her into a fight she didn't need to be in, and her ending up hurt. He didn't want her to die for him, but he knew that wasn't fair, because he, when it came down to it, would probably throw himself on a sword for her. "Well then, it's settled, where you go, I go. Deal?" He offered with a smile. He didn't want things to be one-sided in their relationship, and if that meant risking his life, he'd do it.

Oliver's head was spinning with the possibilities about how Flerken's evolved to lay eggs, yet look so similar to cats. Oliver was not a biologist, and he had no idea about how evolution actually worked short of his high school education, never having taken any kind of post-secondary class in the topic, but he was sure they would throw darwinists for a loop. It was endlessly intriguing to think about, but the idea became real as Fluffy began laying eggs. The miracle of life lay bare before him, Oliver threw up in his mouth a little, and started to think on his feet.

Moving quickly, Oli said, "I should be able to run Fluffy back to the homestead, with the amount of noise ...Fluffy is making," Oli said, realizing he didn't know what sort of pronouns to use for a Flerken, "We should get them out of here sooner rather than later. Sound good?" Oli didn't want to take action without some kind of consensus, he'd fucked up too many times in the past for him to feel good about taking strong unilateral decisions about mission critical things in any capacity. "I can probably get our cute new friend there and be back in a couple minutes."

Arthur puckered his lips for a moment. He hadn't considered for the possibility that the prophecy could call for one of them and not the other. He really didn't like the feel of that. If the prophecy called for him, then he practically had to go, lest the world burn at his feet, but if it called for her, he'd be worrying constantly. This sort of codependency wasn't healthy, they needed to be able to exist as individual people, but he really didn't have the capacity and life experience to fully understand that. All he knew, was that he was scared to be seperated from her.

Arthur started to roll out the middle and said, "I get that, I just... It doesn't feel right to be able to do something, and not do anything, and I don't want people here to get hurt, and I don't..." Arthur didn't have all the words he needed, but he was trying, "So, where you go, I go, if I can. I'm not going to hold you back from helping, and I'm going to do what I can to make sure I don't hold myself back either." He said, committing to the idea of helping people. Selflessness was a difficult thing,or at least there was when stakes are involved, but he had to try.
