It's a good thing Trump was silent on Twitter because I was getting tried of seeing him bitching about losing and telling his right wing terrorists that they're loved and special over and over.

There isn't much to say. I'm a gay dude currently going to community college because of reasons. I have been roleplaying for a long time but been on this site for three years. Met some decent and not so decent people. But it has been a positive experience. And I have sorta been improving on my writing thanks to some criticism. Anyway, I like a ton of genres but I love sci-fi, cyberpunk, slice of life, and low fantasy. In addition, you can usually find me in casual or advanced section depending on the concept. I used to do nation roleplays but nothing interesting has caught my attention for a while. I also used to do 1x1s. Might go back to it someday. And with that, I hope y'all have a good day! Bye! ✶

WONDER WOMAN
Fall 2020 // Deadwood, California
NEW NORMAL

"And this afternoon, the Deadwood Fire in Northern California proceeds to spread uncontrollably—as more people continue to evacuate. The blaze officially earning the megafire designation as it's covering one hundred thousand acres. As it continues to grow, the focus is now getting the residents of Deadwood to safety."

On the outskirts of Deadwood, there were several ranches in danger as the flames for the Deadwood Fire quickly approached from the southeast. While the mandatory evacuation order was issued two hours ago, there wasn't enough time for authorities to escort the ranchers to safety. Fortunately, someone offered their services to venture into danger, and they were more than capable. Wonder Woman was comforting a frightened horse while its owners loaded it into the livestock trailer already loaded with other cattle. One of the ranchers, an older woman, approached her with sweat running down on her forehead. "Thank you so much. You don't know how much you being here means to all of us."

"No need to thank me." Wonder Woman gently placed a hand on the woman's shoulder and escorted her to the truck, opening the driver's door. "Just follow the road down, and a firetruck will be waiting to escort everyone out of harm's way."

She watched as the truck and other vehicles began leaving the property while the flames were getting ever closer. Wonder Woman still felt unsure about the dirt road despite cutting down all of the dead trees near it earlier. So, she took off for the sky to watch the ranchers driving away without issue; yet, the smoke made seeing from afar difficult. And despite the heat and smoke, she hovered for a few until the lights from the firetruck blinked twice, telling her that everyone was on the main road. Wonder Woman breathed a sigh of relief before turning to see the barn on the edgy of the property being consumed by the blaze. It was both horrifying and breathtaking to watch.

Wonder Woman placed her finger on the earpiece given to her by Daniel Morris, the Trinity County Fire Chief. "Wonder Woman here. The ranchers on the edge of town escaped in time, but their property is already a loss. I plan on checking the support crew close by."

"Actually, someone here needs to talk to you at headquarters." Wonder Woman didn't need to know who was awaiting her and flew straight to the headquarters. It was located on the western edge of Deadwood near the main road leading to the town of Lewiston. She landed on the asphalt and walked past a fire truck driving towards the fire. Then, she entered a restaurant that had been converted into a temporary base of operation to fight the megafire. Fire Chief Daniel and S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Phil Coulson were having a "friendly" chat away from everyone else in the kitchen.

"Governor Torres made it clear that she doesn't want any heroes to-" Coulson tried to explain but was interrupted by Daniel, who clearly was upset over the news.

"Wonder Woman has been doing more here than her and everyone in that damn capitol!"

Coulson remained professional despite being yelled at by a well-built fire chief. "And while Torres is grateful for her services in fighting The Deadwood Fire, Wonder Woman was never granted permission to interfere with personnel on the ground."

"I have to guess that you never applied for one, Agent Coulson." Wonder Woman wasn't able to contain her displeasure towards the agent.

Coulson snapped back. "It's the law, Diana, and you know it."

The Vigilante Registration Act, the law that Coulson mentioned, was introduced in three states a few months after the formation of the Avengers. It granted governors in said states the power to refuse entry to any vigilantes not registered and lacking the governor's blessing. But, the federal government was able to override said power if any threat was proven too difficult for the civil authorities to handle. And it only targeted vigilantes that didn't remain in one state, like Superman and Wonder Woman. So, while it was passed with overwhelming support in those three states, the law was rarely enforced and never considered until the recent crime wave. California was the fourth and recent state to sign the act into law since its creation.

"Look, pal, I don't care about whatever law you've to enforce; Wonder Woman has done more good in recent days. We would've lost acres and lives to the fire without her." Daniel then processed to place himself between Coulson and Wonder Woman, which surprised both of them. "And if preventing her from leaving means I am breaking the law, then arrest me."

Wonder Woman was astonished by the Fire Chief's bravery in the face of such a powerful authority figure. It would've made the spirit of Arete proud. But, Diana understood clearly that Coulson always followed orders from whoever was his new puppet master—no matter what it meant doing. Plus, there was still a megafire that needed containing before more lives were displaced. So, Diana made her way to Daniel while taking the earpiece off of her ear.

"I appropriate you for willing to defy the law from me, but I won't let you get arrested when you're desperately needed. Thank you for letting me work beside your department for as long as possible." Diana gently handed the earpiece back to Daniel and held his hand. "And I swear that the heroics of you and your department will be paid in due time."

Wonder Woman turned to Coulson with a steady, cold stare and then said in disdain. "You can inform the governor that I will be leaving the state. And if she needs a location for her photo shoot, I know a perfect spot."

By the way, is anyone alright if I have Agent Coulson for Wondy's introduction post?

EDIT: Also, I could move Gateway City to California/West Coast if the East Coast's getting too crowded. It's where it originally was anyway.

In this interpretation, a banished Klyntar did bond with Spider-Man and fed on the hero's desire to stop the Green Goblin's reign of terror. But when he couldn't save his lover, Gwen Stacy, after being used as bait, something unexpected happened to the symbiote. The symbiote was beginning to experience every emotion that both Spider-Man and Peter Parker have ever felt. And it became overwhelmed for the first time ever, causing him to sever the bond.

Upon escaping to a relatively quiet church, the Klyntar stubborn upon a broken man seeking forgiveness. Edward Brock had lost his admirable job and was disowned by his father. He planned on committing suicide after he visited the church. But, the symbiote sensed his hatred towards Spider-Man and pain for losing everything meaningful in his life. That was the night that Venom was born.

And for four years, Venom terrorized Spider-Man and Peter Parker throughout New York City. It was always the same story: someone close to their mortal enemy gets hurt, Spider-Man shows up and fights Venom. And it always ended the same with Spider-Man coming out on top while Venom got locked up in prison only to escape to repeat the story again. But then, 2018 came and forever changed both Eddie and the symbiote.

A completely different symbiote bonded with a known serial killer, Cletus Kasadym, and became Carnage as they began a rampage through Manhattan, killing dozens of innocents. Upon learning of the murders, Venom met up with the killer in an attempt to neutralize them. But, Carnage saw through the lies and quickly overwhelmed them while learning about Anne Weying. Venom tried to save their only friend from a monster, but it was already too late.

With no other options and a determination to get revenge, Venom sought help from their mortal enemy: Spider-Man. So, the two of them worked together to track down Carnage leading them to the North Brother Island. That was when Venom abruptly betrayed Spider-Man and allowing Carnage to kill them in exchange for a truce. But, then, something strange happened. The symbiote started to re-experience the same emotions that they felt four years ago. But, it emphasized Peter's memories of Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacy—the good and the bad.

Eddie, still bonded with the symbiote, also experienced everything and made him sympathize with his swore enemy. Upon learning that their pain was identical, Venom surprised Spider-Man by tackling Carnage and causing them to fall into the fire below. Unsurprisingly, everyone thought that both Venom and Carnage died on that night. But it wasn't the end of their story. Venom found themselves washed up on the shores of Massachusetts. And instead of returning to New York, Eddie and the symbiote chose to remain dead to focus on themselves. That was what they did for two years.

Then, an evening news segment on a string of bizarre murders caught their attention. Afraid that Carnage was back in action and seeking revenge against Spider-Man, Eddie and the symbiote made the decision to return to New York City. Not as the infamous Venom but as Agent Venom.

I have been dreaming of playing Venom ever since I joined the superhero roleplays years ago. So, I was incredibly grateful to @webboysurf when he listened and gave me the all-clear to play out my version of Venom. For this roleplay, I am planning on having Eddie and the symbiote desperately trying to reform (with help from the web-head, of course). So, as a roaming character, don't be surprised if you see them swinging around New York City with a familiar web-slinger (and any other wall-crawlers).

Overall, the entire story will be about Venom and Eddie having remorse and empathy all because of their former mortal enemy.

I think you have Carol all wrong, but I'll wait till I have IC posts to back that up. But cocky is definitely not a word I would ascribe to her.

Fair enough, cocky is a poor choice of words. Just thought that she would've been proud enough for achievements to boast about them. Hell, maybe I am wrong and will eat my hat when I read the post.
<Snipped quote by Mao Mao>

You're going to have to explain this one to me.

I kinda had a hard time with your character, to be honest. I probably should've picked Ruelle's Live Like Legends instead. But I thought Legend sounded better for Carol because she (assuming here) was kinda cocky military personnel with the right heart. The kind of person willing to fight until they're bleeding and sweating for someone else. Now after listening to both songs, I kinda wished that I chose Ruelle's song instead.

What happens if an immortal goddess demands change in a stubborn world?

In this interpretation, Diana of Themyscira has lived a relatively long wondrous from the late-1910s to the present day. She has seen the beauty and the ugly of mankind, made many friends and enemies, and even fell in love. But even as she slowly adapted to the times, the Themysciran could only watch as the climate started to change in an unprecedented manner. There was only so much she could've done without governments and authorities interfering and putting enough red tapes to choke a rhino.

In the last decade, friends of Wonder Woman begun to notice a sublet change. Something that both world wars were unable to do. Something that didn't break when her first friend, Steve Trevor, was murdered in front of her. Something that she was still teaching about to everyone, including other heroes. Something that the Gods of Olympus bestowed upon her birth: Hope.

Wonder Woman was losing hope.

A year ago, I made the ragtag group known as Misfits as a response to what I felt in the midst of a global pandemic that shined a light on issues plaguing our world. Deep down, I had hoped these issues would've been properly addressed. But now? Uncharitable billionaires are having their own space race on the backs of their exhausted workers who don't make enough to afford rent. Record shattering heat waves, floodings, and wildfires destroying communities and lives while oil and gas executives rest comfortably. And corrupt politicians are desperately trying to maintain the idea that everything is still fine and everyone is happier than ever while the world burns on.

That got me thinking. How would heroes react to our current circumstances? And my mind went to Wonder Woman.

As a driving character, I would love folks to join as supporting and roaming characters if they wish to deal with political themes and topics. As for supporting characters, I am looking for someone to be Wonder Girl (preferably this version of Cassandra Sandsmark or Yara Flor) and Troia (Donna Troy but I don't want her to be Diana's sister or clone). I have plans for the Amazons, Twelve Olympians, Nubia, and Wonder Boy (Bobby Barnes).

One minute, a megafire endangers several agricultural communities in the Western United States. The next, record-breaking flooding creates chaos and threatens a large town in Ireland. Wonder Woman is doing all she could in the face of an inevitable climate apocalypse. But even she doesn't truly possess the power and wealth to bring forth meaningful changes. No, it's the dismissive politicians and selfish billionaire CEOs that wield such strength. So, instead of sitting on the sidelines in despair, Wonder Woman decides to fight back against climate inaction and inactivists, even if it upsets a lot of powerful individuals.

Amidst protests against police brutality and racism across the country, someone dressed in riot gear begins targeting organizers and protesters with citizens' arrests.
