P R E S E N C E This section is for appearance description, notes on personality and behavior, or anything else you might think of that is related. A note on character images: I prefer 'realistic' images of people. I know that everyone has their preference and some are uncomfortable with one or the other. I ask that you try, at least, and then we can speak if there is an issue. I can help you with finding an image, if that makes it easier.
C H R O N I C L E This is any noteworthy event in your character's life so far. You choose how much you want to disclose here. The only requirement is a few words about their time in the United Defense Force, and what kind of reputation they have built for themselves.
F O R C E This section is optional. Here you can describe what kind of weapons your character uses, what kind of magic and techniques they favor, and anything else related to violence. You will likely mention these things in character posts, if you are not into setting things up beforehand.

P R E S E N C E Helena is a peaceful person first and foremost. She enjoys time alone, cups of tea, and the smell of morning fog in the forest. Her favorite season is Autumn and she finds herself most happy when surrounded by nature. It's not that she hates people though. In fact she loves them very much. She loves animals and plants as well. Helena loves books and quiet and often finds the real world so terrible she likes to escape, pretending her daydreams are real. Helena has enormous empathy. She hates seeing anyone or anything in pain or suffering. It's as if it is physically causing her pain to see others in pain. She is most driven by a desire to live in peace, and a desire to heal the world around her. She does care about herself to a degree, but cares about everyone else much more. Because of her personality, she is seen as a bit careless, idealistic, and too soft for this world at times. She likes to take her time with things and not rush, and tries to maintain a positive attitude. She has a tendency to get on some people's nerves because she doesn't like death, urgency, or complaining.
C H R O N I C L E Helena's mother is a scientist within the UDF currently. Her mother has been involved with high value contracts related to energy since Helena was a small child. She never knew her father and never had siblings, so she was left with babysitters, or to her own devices. Even when left with sitters, Helena would escape and run to the nearest deserted place until she had satisfied her curiosity, and then return. This rebelliousness (as her mother termed it) caused her to go through a slew of babysitters growing up. She did have a consistent teacher, however, who schooled her at home. She never attended any sort of community school, and instead her mother solidified her isolation from the outside world. This is likely why she enjoys any other living thing so much, to both learn about them and protect them. Helena's mother never paid her much attention until one day when her loyal tutor, Mrs. Margaret, told Ms. Westerly that her daughter was exhibiting stranger than normal behavior. When Ms. Westerly continued to pry, she learned Helena had told Mrs. Margaret that she could see orbs of light sometimes, and that she would often follow them into the forest. She also talked about having strange abilities where she didn't get hurt, and had healed an injured fawn in the woods. Finally curious in her own daughter who was nearing adulthood by the time this was discovered, Ms. Westerly asked Helena to demonstrate what she could do. Helena tried to explain that she couldn't always perform at will, but she would try. She showed her mother her ability to heal a cut on her mother's arm just by pressing it with her fingers. She whistled and birds began flocking at the nearest window, begging to come in with loud chirpings. She could also create a sort of forcefield or barrier, but only big enough for herself at the time. Needless to say, her mother was thrilled that her daughter was apparently, an Aeon. Helena was just thrilled to have her mother's attention. The gleam of feeling treasured did not last long, however. Because of her abilities, Helena was brought into her mother's work and trained. She saw her mother even less than she had prior, and she never saw Mrs. Margaret again. Instead, Helena's days were filled with learning all about the UDF and training to fight. The problem was, Helena wasn't a fighter. She surprisingly complied with training exercises, learning about weaponry and combat, but never intended to put it into true practice. Instead, the spirits within her attracted more, and she was soon able to extend her barrier, heal more severe wounds, levitate off the ground a short distance, and perceive potential threats just through her emotions, also within a short distance (like a sixth sense that something bad was coming up behind her). Helena was eventually moved to medical and was used there for a couple years. She found working there incredibly boring and yet at the same time, fulfilling because she got to help people. She no longer has any desire to be around her mother, much less please her. All Helena really wants to do is help people, but perhaps have an adventure while doing so rather than sitting in medical, where her reputation was simply that of a healer. Now that Helena is part of the Special Warfare and Reconnaissance Group, she hopes to help in new, and more important ways, and wonders if her reputation is more than what she knows currently.
F O R C E Helena attracts peaceful spirits and abilities. The amount of spirits within her is currently unknown. She can currently heal a person as long as they aren't dead and the injuries aren't going to kill them any time soon. Helena can create a barrier large enough for about 3 people comfortably. She can touch someone and bring them peace or rest, although she cannot force someone to fall asleep. She can levitate a short distance off the ground and for a short distance in terms of travel, but cannot fly, per se. She can sense things in terms of good or bad, but she questions this ability a lot and seems to ignore it half the time. She also has a weird sense of trust with animals, where they come to her at times and seem to feel safe around her.
P R E S E N C E Aaron is a rather breezy carefree individual whose major life motto is to not be too attached by or to anything. Due to his younger life and his upbringing he's discovered the dangers that come with tying yourself down to frivolous people or things and the pain that comes with it. He is one to usually deflect conversations with "too hard" of questions to deal with despite his natural curiosity of people and the world around him. Aaron is a firm believer that people will tell you everything that you need to know about themselves without having to say a word and will observe people and things at a distance. If the situation comes down to it, Aaron is of the mind to quickly and definitively end a situation before it becomes too much of a problem.
C H R O N I C L E Aaron's life, while not particularly tragic, has been a hard road to travel. For most of his formative years Aaron bounced from foster home to foster home in a small town where everyone knew everyone. Life without parents made him very bitter and angry which didn't help is living situations almost to the point that he was ostracized from any one his age. Until the day he met Samuel. Samuel saw through the façade Aaron put up and slowly introduced him to his group of friends; Kat, Remi, Thael, Rene, Freddy, Magdalena. Along with Samuel, these people slowly made Aaron into someone worth being around and for a time people actually began to see him in a positive light. All this changed, however, when the comet came.
When the infection began to spread and the spirits began to migrate into more and more people the mutated wildlife began making their way into the cities. One day when the kids where playing they came across said wildlife, a mutated stag that had wandered into the outskirts of the town. Aaron's natural curiosity drove him to go and investigate the creature leaving Samuel to come along to do his best to protect him as best he could. When the situation naturally turned south Aaron's fear got the better of him and made him cower before the thing while Samuel stood up to it, before the death blow could be struck a mass gathering of wind and electricity gathered into Aaron and the two of them escaped in a flash of light. The boys were safe and the creature was dealt with, but the group or the town began to look at Aaron differently. Samuel was the golden child able to do no wrong and he stood in defense of his friend, Aaron was a coward and hid and the town treated him as such.
For years after the fact Aaron was split apart from the town, these spirits gave him new abilities but he received foul looks from the town and his friends suddenly didn't see him in the same light and with all these things coalescing together he decided to join the UDF and give up his former life since they decided to give up on him. As he trained and grew in his spirits Aaron caught the eye of the Intelligence Division for his mobility and decisive actions, so when he graduated from the academy and received his captains rank Intelligence scooped him up and quickly began his work. He has spent the last 5 years investigating the infection, keeping tabs on R&D, and infiltrating high value targets to keep the flow of information coming into the UDF.
F O R C E
The Nakamasa High Frequency Katana is a blade that vibrates at extremely high frequencies that weakens the molecular integrity of whatever it cuts. In combination with his spirits of lightning and wind this effect in amplified even further in combination with Aaron's even heightened speed. The sheath of the weapon is fixed with a launching system that aids in Aaron's quick draw style which also functions as mid-ranged high powered rifle in certain situations. The system is powered by a 12.7x99 (.50 BMG) ammo.
Currently the only known spirits that dwell within Aaron are spirits of wind and lightning which makes him faster than the average Aeon. His combat style is very non-confronting preferring to dodge and duck out of the way and only strike when a definitive and finite solution presents itself.

P R E S E N C EErrikos is a slender enough man with a bit of a belly being the only thing to show him to be overweight. His thick hair and beard almost hide his face especially when combined with a pair of glasses he usually wears. He enjoys tinkering with computers and coffee but his interests as well as his unique Force has a tendency to leave him cold to others and sometimes manipulative. People would say that he's nice although a bit weird but he does have a habit of stealing things. He has a code of honor about it, small things, insignificant things, a piece of candy, a pen, a marker. It's not compulsive as he only takes things he feels a need for but it could cause a problem with his coworkers.
C H R O N I C L EErrikos lived on what used to be the island of Bellecona. He worked as an electrician and lived a rather simple life with a family and a small house. That was before the comet, and with it, a large piece of debris that struck the island directly, killing virtually all of its inhabitants. His only saving grace was being on a fishing boat on a brief vacation while his partner and child visited their in-laws. The shockwave tossed him and his boat but he survived.
Following the event, the few survivors of the strike were rounded up and transported to a base for monitoring and testing. They attempted to make the base feel like a small town but it did little to ease the suffering of this people that lost all of their friends and family. Errikos started playing with the fake village as a coping mechanism, he'd open panels and observe the wiring, and when the lab workers learned he was a skilled electrician, they actively put him to work around the lab within the confines of their isolation and study. He picked up more skills during that time, developing a knack for computers and, while he was never particularly gifted with programming, his abilities with the hardware soared.
Errikos was contented to live in this bubble, away from the painful memory of his family when he stumbled upon a curious phenomenon, he could almost communicate to the wiring, to the machinery. He could even redirect power as he desired. The base authority took notice of this and immediately transferred him to a different facility. This one was cold, hard, and unpleasant. There was nothing in the way of quaint pleasure in a mock village. This was a scientific research lab. He saw logos on the walls but he didn't recognize them. Errikos was poked and tested much more with samples of blood, skin, even brain tissue samples were taken as this company sought to understand the cause of this ability as well as it's applications.
Eventually an unsanctioned raid was conducted by the UDF disguised as a terrorist attack as the location of this facility had become known thanks to a whistleblower on the inside. Errikos never knew who did it but he was eternally thankful as the UDF provided him comfort away from the suffering and even attempted counseling in the wake of the tragedies. Without any where else to call home or anyone to call family, he chose to work for the UDF.
F O R C EThe spirits that seemed most drawn to Errikos were what allowed him to communicate to others in the absence of real personal contact or connection. Given he was in a technical laboratory, the spirits let him communicate to the machinery and wiring around him. It let him alter electrical flows, redirect power, even bring wiring to life and allow machines a semblance of 'healing'.

P R E S E N C E Liam is a soft spoken individual, never drawing too much attention to himself. Most people see him as pleasant enough, but not really noteworthy. But Liam likes it that way, preferring to keep to himself, only having a few actual friends throughout his lifetime. But for those who he does deem close to him, like his family or childhood friend, Liam is very protective. Defending these people was part of the reason Liam wished to fight alongside the UDF.
The only time that Liam will talk at length is when discussing a topic of importance or interest to him. As such he was very talkative while in the Navigation Division, discussing mechanics at length with the other mechanics. These interactions did lead to a positive association for the UDF in Liam’s mind.
Liam has a tendency to see situations in a bad light, perhaps a trait passed over from his father. It’s easy for him to get bogged down in the problems of the world, but he does have a certain level of hope. If he didn’t think that there wasn’t a chance of defeating the Stigma, then he wouldn’t be fighting it. Whenever Liam does manage to save a life, it does help him get a brighter affect.
C H R O N I C L E Liam was born in Red Heights, during a period of economic upheaval in the western world. Liam’s mother was the daughter of Nihon immigrants, while his father was from an Moriadine family who had lived along the west coast for the past hundred years. The pair had met as students of the University of Deltas, quickly following in love and conceiving Liam. However, Liam’s father was a troubled individual who would commit suicide a month before Liam’s birth. Liam would be named after his late father.
As a single parent, Liam’s mother put her education on hold to raise her son. She moved back in with her parents to receive help with raising Liam. Throughout Liam’s childhood his family’s financial situation would be precarious. With the unstable economy it was hard on small businesses like the Ogata Grocery Store. But Liam’s family made sure that he never went without anything, always providing food, shelter, and love.
During this time Liam became interested in cars, considering a career as a mechanic. However those plans were put on hold as the comet approached the planet. Though it was partly deflected, many pieces of debris did hit the planet, spreading the Stigma. Luckily for Liam, no pieces of the comet hit anywhere near Red Heights.
For the first few weeks, people thought that the threat had passed. But stories of transformed animals were quickly proved true. The military tried to fight back against the Stigma affected and what would be called Legion, but they were woefully under equipped. It was while taking refuge on a military base that Liam awakened as an Aeon. While having a nightmare Liam set his family’s living quarters on fire. Naturally the military took interest in these new abilities, whisking Liam away from his family under the pretense of him being infected with Stigma.
Liam would be taken to a laboratory run by the newly formed United Defense Force. There he and several other newly awakened Aeons were studied. Liam would spend about a year at the facility before the scientists concluded their studies. Liam would return to Red Heights, finding that the UDF had managed to retake the city. Liam enrolled himself in high school, finding the course selection limited to only essential work skills. Luckily for him, mechanics was offered as there was a need for mechanics for the many military vehicles in use.
After graduating, Liam would work at a local mechanic before enlisting in the UDF on his 18th birthday. Based on his skill set, Liam was placed in the Navigation Division. He would serve as a mechanic for the UDF for several years, meeting way more Aeons then he thought existed. But after a few tours of duty, Liam decided to take some time off. Returning to Red Heights, Liam would learn that both of his grandparents had passed away.
Liam then entered a depression, his view of the world becoming more nihilistic. Seeing similar mannerisms in Liam as his father, Liam’s mother would seek help from veterans’ services. Liam would begin seeing a therapist regularly, one who helped him change his world view. But it was just as Liam began to feel happy again that he was approached by the UDF to join its new Special Warfare and Reconnaissance Group. After mulling about it for a few days, Liam decided to join up.
F O R C E Liam is slightly more skilled as an Aeon than some of his comrades as he’s had the power since he was a young teenager. Liam’s magic tends to be more destructive in nature, his primary spirits granting him fire and ice projection. The fire magic is most often a weapon, either to push the enemy back or to do damage. The ice magic, while also very dangerous, is more often a defensive or utility use, either by creating walls of ice or sliding on it to get around fast. While Liam’s magic tends to be large and hard to control, he has made headway over the years in cultivating certain techniques. This includes combining fire and ice to make a cloud of obscuring mist, or firing bullets made out ice.

P R E S E N C E Emilia is a fairly straightforward and perhaps stoic kind of person. Being born and grown in the countryside adds a flavor of modesty and sense of duty to community. She was set on a regular life without grand aspirations before everything went downhill. Having spent the last seven years in the military, Emilia has become like a machine when it comes to commitment and determination—it is all second nature at this point. This is not to say that she does not experience lazy days, but otherwise rigorous requirements are simply routine. Emilia is the teacher type, or mentor perhaps, at least one that cares for the success of whatever the soldiers next to her have to do. It is all in the spirit of getting the job done and being able to go home in one piece.
UDF issued clothing and armor is the typical fashion for Emilia. There are not enough spare days in a year to say that she has any particular style. When and if there is such a moment, Emilia will usually wear rather casual attire consisting of tights, sweaters or t-shirts, and sneakers. She has worn a proper dress, once, but never taken one step in high heels.
C H R O N I C L E Emilia was born to a farmer couple whom lived a slight distance away from a small town. Her parents bred and processed live stock, whose parts and produce they sold to local markets and businesses. When the comet hit, they were able to stay afloat by shifting their sales to corporate interest, instead. It was not what they wanted to do, but they needed to do in order to survive. As the farm is far away from the comet's orbit, Emilia's parents rarely see the disease or its creatures around.
Emilia does not stand out all that much as an Aeon. She is known for high deployment rate and consistency in her service to the UDF. She is a hands-on kind of soldier, so the Warfare Division has been her home ever since she got started in this bracket. However, one of her signature things to do is to drop from helicopter transports onto the ground quite a height before it lands. The way her darkish, auburn hair flows in the wind is reminiscent of eagle wings. This eventually landed her the nickname "Garuda", which is a mythological eagle that is said to have achieved human-like consciousness and speech a long time ago. Emilia's particular strength as an Aeon is in her legs, which allows her to jump to and drop from uncanny heights.
Some years ago, close to the beginning of her service, Emilia had a relationship with a fellow Aeon in the UDF. His caliber as a soldier and reputation as an Aeon overshadowed Emilia by many miles, and she eventually became known for being his partner. Things ended after about a year due to complications and conflict of understanding. Emilia tried to avoid him to the best of her ability, but it was rather difficult when his name was at the tip of everyone's tongue. However, she eventually made a name for herself and people sort of forgot that they were ever dating.
Whenever it is time for R&R, Emilia tries to go back home to the farm to help her parents. She also has a younger sister, by two years, that is serving the UDF as a nurse in field hospitals. They rarely meet each other these days, but they do stay in contact. When all else fails, Emilia likes to spend time far away from the war—any kind of relaxing environment or sprawling city will do. However, vacations are always cut short. Emilia has not enjoyed a full R&R for the past two years. Despite this hectic life, she does manage to send a good chunk of her salary back home, which helps her parents a lot.
F O R C E Emilia's spirits mostly consist of the air element. Just as every other Aeon, she does possess spirits of all other elements, but everyone also has their personal preferences. Besides being able to jump really high, Emilia has taught herself a 'breath preservation' technique whereby her spirits help her to hold her breath for an extended period of time—quite useful at times.
A short barreled assault rifle has served Emilia well over the years. She tends to be comfortable in mid-to-close range whenever an engagement happens. The carbine also allows a wide range of tactical attachments to be employed. This is the kind of versatility that Emilia favors a lot. She always carries a few of them with her in her backpack, so that she can adapt well to different situations—even if the Warfare Division advised against stuffing tactical attachments down your backpack.
In close combat, Emilia uses a titanium combat sword with a carbon fiber hilt. It sits in a holster across her back, which is connected to her chest rig, but behind her backpack whenever she wears one. The style of the sword is similar to the European Longsword in a real world comparison.
T R I V I A ★ Frequently gets asked by soldiers to "jump them" into the air and back down, like a ride.
★ Emilia once saved five guys from a sinking tank.
★ Emilia's highest observed jump was 60 meters, which in the real world is the same as jumping over the Columbus Monument in Barcelona.
★ Emilia's highest observed drop from a height was about 170 meters, which is like jumping down from the Washington Monument obelisk. However, she did injure herself from that drop, which means it is bordering lethal.
P R E S E N C E Present will there ever be hope in a world where the light dares shows it's face.
Moralism meant everything when you looked at a moral compass, who to save who to give up. It was a hard choice for some and those in between but you had to try - giving up meant they win. With the recent events in the years that came it was important to keep one's humanity. Those who didn't keep it were just monsters, they were the monsters being fought.
It was hard not to become one, striving with each step Robert kept it like he always did. Cool, Collected, Charamstic. Even funny? Hell, god was a comedian.
C H R O N I C L E
Hail to the king.
Flying high in the sky with his team is what mattered, being a pilot and fighting those who opposed a nation's will that was the dream. It was crushed at such a young age when the Stigma hit the planet without a second thought, perhaps his dream to fly would return after the war or perhaps in another bleak life. Though Robert shared a rare trait some barely thought they'd ever possess - being an Aeon, being stuffed with spirits. In all sense, this king of the skies was a god killer and that's all that mattered.
Smelling the roses and contemplating the who and the why of what happened with the Stifgma would come with self reflection after the war, as soon as Robert was old enough he signed up. Warfare seemed like the goto choice but in reality went with the navigators as he did have a chance to touch and fly a jet amongst other vehicles but it was a ll boring. The Stigma had ruined it all, but Robert persisted through these times.
Being the lead in his field he downed and squashed as many fungus-bois that dared reared their heads towards him, he's flown a variety of sorties of the years in the UDF which has earned him the reputation of being an Ace. The nick name of flyboy has simply stuck with him since, and it was endearing but not everything was about him just being an ace. Being a famous Aeon had it's perks, especially during the war.
Despite being able to melt and belt his way through most demons or creatures that came his way Robert remained for the most part as a supportive role, a healer. Not everything had to be death and despair, not everything had to be answered with violence.
Yet, if it's a war they want then nuclear fire is what they'll get.
F O R C E Anything that slings led hangs on the hip of Hernandez, usually a .357 because bad ass can't be defined by a gun alone the style is the key.
Outside of that, assault rifles are the norm - but let's get to brass tacks.
The force inside of him usually revolves around, golden barriers, healing rays and orbs the type that keep you on the up and up and from - well dying.
The otherside of the coin is a volatile, nuclear hellfire that well. A mixture of earth and fire abilities allowed him to turn the ground into a molten lava, a nuclear hell hole if given the chance.
P R E S E N C E Vic was a glass-half-full kind of guy before first contact. How he was treated by the institution he swore to portect left him a bit jaded. He has no tolerance for excuses and believes there is a solution to any given problem. It may not always be "ethical" but none the less there is a solution to be taken. Vic finds it difficult to trust others but has an instinct to help treat others when in critical condition. At his core he is a protector, even if his sense of duty is conflicted with the memories of being left for dead, poked and prodded, and recycled back into combat without even an apology.
C H R O N I C L E
Vic's origins begin in poverty and with hardknocks on the street. Landing in juvey, his desperate parents sent him to military school. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Telosian Air Force. Vic's superiors encouraged him to apply for special warfares. He would decide that would be the most fitting path and trained up to become a pararescuer, learning special tactics and combat medicine. He was deployed to combat zones and on humanitarian missions for 5 years before the comet arrived.
Vic was one of the first responders after the debri fired from the comet. He would be tasked to provide fire and medical support to six teams of special force operators who were to restore power at an electrical plant hit by the raining debri. Inside the plant the six teams were engaged by hostile lifeforms. Three out of six were KIA after 3 minutes of first contact. One team went missing, and the other two retreated outside of the electrical facility into the courtyard where they received cover fire from Vic and his partner from their chopper above.
The two remaining teams would fight in the courtyard for 10 minutes before a window opened that allowed Vic and his partner to fast rope in to treat the injured. They would fight for 15 more minutes before an evacuation convoy arrived to pull out the survivors. Vic, his partner, and two other team members held the line as the others were secured into the convoys. Unfortunately as Vic and the others decided it was time for their retreat, they were overrun. The convoy took damage as they escaped. In a strategic decision to contain the hostile forces, a fire mission was granted regardless of the missing team and the downed troops left behind. The Telosian Air Force decimated four city blocks from ordnances that directly dentonated after impacting the electric plant.
In the aftermath, Vic awoke unscathed and in the middle of a scorched earth. Disoriented and confused as to how he survived after swearing he experienced being cut down by otherworldly lifeforms, he was met with a new scenario. Quarantine. The entire city had been sectioned off by Telosian military personnel. Thought to be dead, Vic, was unable to convince any of the military personnel to call up the ranks to verify his status as a soldier. Instead he was commanded to go back where he came until orders around the quarantine changed. No one was allowed in or out, no exceptions.
Vic would survive in the city for 30 days before attempting to save a family from looters. He was mistaken as one of those looters by a platoon of Telosian forces who were patrolling the area. Vic was shot while trying to communicate to the platoon what happened. When one of the soldiers approach Vic's body to verify he was KIA, the soldier leaned down to check Vic's carotid. Vic's reaction was one he calls, "a possession". A force came over him or exploded from within him and his hand manipulated the blood he was losing into a solidifed blade that punctured the soldiers temple.
He then reached for the soldiers grenade pin, pulled it, and kicked him back about 7 feet with strength he had never experienced before then. The dead soldier exploded in the middle of the street intersection where the rest of the soldiers scattered for cover. Vic escaped, but the "possession" did not let up. Instead of leaving the hot zone, he hunted. One by one he killed each soldier in that platoon by varying degrees of powers that Vic could not explain.
Body cams were recovered from the dead platoon and Vic was re-categorized from KIA to MIA and a priority one asset to the Telosian government. They saw him manipulating his own blood and the blood of those he killed. There were other anonamlies like Vic's that were being reported but this "blood manipulation" was unique to those reports. The Telosian government wanted to study and test Vic to see if he held a key to combatting the hostile lifeforms which gained the name, "Stigma". Eventually, Vic was apprehended after several attempts and was secured in a maximum security research facility.
Vic was released after the Telosian government merged with the other countries forming the United Defense Force (UDF). The UDF's primary objective was to eradicate the Stigma by any means necessary. The new means was a special reconnaisance group comprimised entirely of Aeons - humans chosen by spirits that evoke supernatural abilities. These spirits were identified to have emerged after the debri fell, and scientists could not define whether they were here the whole time and responded to the alien threat or if they came with the alien threat.
The reputation of Vic begins with his first contact story and solidifies due to his acts against the Telosian platoon. Soldiers in varying parts of the world would call him a "Blutjäger", "Ketsueki hantā", "Bloodhound", "Demon", or "Devil". His source of power is unnerving to a lot of people and some Aeons. Not to mention that there is his historical report of being unable to control his blood lust in the beginning stages of his Aeonic development that ended the lives of his own country men. Never the less, he has successfully proven to the UDF his value. Before the Aeon unit was developed, he primarily conducted medical and protective details with the occassional offensive solo mission for collecting information in extremely hostile Stigma zones.
F O R C E Vic's spirit works through his blood. The spirit can boil his blood to keep him warm. Draw it out and solidify his blood into weapons. The spirit can coagulate the blood at faster speeds to stop wounds from becoming life threatening. The spirit has also been able to help Vic with sensing the blood of other life within a 5 km radius. It has even been cited in journals during the scientific trials imposed on him after the platoon incident, that he can increase blood flow to certain muscle groups that enable a brief period of increased strength, stamina, and reflexes.

P R E S E N C E Autonomous, Driven, Deadly. Autonomous in the way she’s never known the need for her to rely on anyone else for anything. She’s never been one for want nor asked for support as she can do almost anything she needs herself. Being an Aeon fundamentally encourages this behavior in her, but it will also force her to curb her attitude once she’s placed in a team or paired with her Aeon peers.
Driven, if it weren’t for the drive that bore fruit in her mind when she was a child she had probably remained in the mountains. She’s driven in work first and foremost, but she does not lack when it comes to her UDF training or really what aught else matters in her vision.
Deadly, Eun-ji is often seen as meek or docile because of her appearance and position in the UDF. Despite the inauthenticity of this assumption she revels in it, almost wearing it as a mantle of pride. Playing into the role makes the deception all the more sweet. This is where her nickname is derived from. Amanita are from one of the largest and most diverse divisions in fungi, Basidiomycota. Of the basidiomycetes, Amanita are the most recognized/iconic fungi but also the hardest to differentiate when trying to discern poisonous from edible. Several humans die a year from ingestion of these mushrooms, not before suffering from debilitating cramps, seizures, and a slurry of other agonizing symptoms. Mischaracterizing this fungal scientist just might be the last mistake you’ll ever make.
C H R O N I C L E In her first life Eun-ji was a mycologist. She hated anything and everything that was covered in concrete. Eun-ji preferred the feeling of grass covered in fresh dew slick through her feet on cold hazy mornings, the sharp nip of thorns grown from a thicket of blackberry patches. As far back as she can remember, she always loved the world that was painted in a sea of green. Growing up in the People’s Republic of Goryeo (PRG), her family was located in the far off country side rather than at the heart of the city. Rural areas were a dying breed as the giant known as technology kept on increasing its machinations. Luckily the mountains survived as a deterrent for machinery due to the precipitation and landscape proving to be a natural barrier to progression.
Her family lived in a very modest home made of brick and mortar, but with a lush and bountiful garden and countryside to fill their needs. They raised livestock, made their own clothes by hand, and gathered food and resources from the harvest nearby. This wasn’t without the need to travel into a nearby suburb to trade and sell items that were scarce in cities. Her first encounter with the land of concrete and steel. Eventually when she was of adolescence, her parents trained her in all the traditional ways of living off the land (e.g. making clothes from cotton and silk, dyeing said clothes, fishing etc..) that would eventually lead her to travel down the mountain into civilization.
Cacophonous sound from cars mixed with the light pollution from various LED screens shaped her first experience quite negatively. Though there was one good thing that came of it. She found an old field guide for fungi. Fungi had been lost to her as her parents always warned her of the dangers that could come from consuming them if not careful. Morning, noon, and night, her eyes stayed plastered on that worn and beaten book. Page after page was consumed until nothing was left. Voracious as her appetite for knowledge was, her appetite for the actual mushrooms was just the same.
It wasn’t until a few years later, that she was able to correctly ID which fungi was poisonous to eat and which weren’t, although the lookalikes were quite tricky. Eventually this fondness for the fantastically fun fungi extended well past the dietary and reached into the medicinal and ecological role they played. Homeschooling could only teach her so much and with her desire to learn clear to her parents, they enrolled her into a University in the heart of the country. Eun-Ji’s aversion for the city life was still at the heart of her close-mindedness, but she would have to move past it to get where she wanted to be.
Getting past the mundane, drab, and deleterious effects of assimilating into the city culture seemed almost impossible at first. Yet, little by little it began to grow on her, expanding the horizons she swore never to open. While she wanted to keep her rural roots planted, just like the fungi she studied so much she needed to intertwine her roots with the network of millions of mycelium derived from the underground system housed by fungi. Slowly her personality saw a shift along with her wardrobe and taste for retail. What did not change was the tenacity in which she devoted her life to increasing her knowledge and passion for her field. She attended university where she helped as a volunteer for grad students in the mycology lab, the first step to her dream.
Life seemed to be going well, until the detritus and debris from the comet bombarded the earths surface repeatedly. Queue her second life. The recoil from the landing shook the foundation of her lab sending her and her specimens into a frenzy. Broken glass had been littered everywhere whereas Eun-ji had inhaled many a spore from her specimens. Unbeknownst to her, the spores and the comet would be the catalyst to her transition into an Aeon. Military swept her lab looking for survivors and sent her and other personnel to a military base to be tested like her own work. It was then that the United Defense Force had made her aware that she was a newly awakened Aeon. Using school as a military service excusal she returned to her country and university with the promise of completing her mandatory service upon graduation.
Eun-Ji would go onto complete her bachelors in mycology, which then snowballed into a Master’s degree which then rolled into her Doctorate. Before she knew it, she was one of the youngest and foremost author on several peer reviewed journals in the realm of all things mycology. Breaking away from her village and country she began to travel across the world studying different fungi. Those that grew on different parts of the bodies of arthropods such as beetles with each fungi on each limb being of a different species. To the use of spores in human development, such as keeping items waterproof or serving as pyrotechnics for films.
As initially promised, she completed her mandatory two years of service but stayed on as a liaison due to the nature of her expertise being fungi which seemed to be the prevailing hypothesis in what turned fauna and humans into Legionnaires. Eventually her work in attempting to map the genomic sequence of the fungus spawned from the comet had led her to a position being a Researcher in the UDF. Hoping to make it her life’s work and attach her name to the inevitable cure as her predecessors in other fields had, she accepted the offer and has been working for the UDF ever since.
F O R C E The primary elemental spirits that have manifested within Eun-Ji are Fire and Earth. These two mostly serve as a vehicle for which her main ability/magic can thrive. She also uses these passively to increase the effectiveness of her weapons.
Another form of spirit has also found connection with Eun-Ji, the fungal spirits that she inhaled during the comet. These spirits have lived within her body during the 10 years of her initial exposure and now commune with her. To utilize her spirits, much like the hymenium of a mushroom, they exit her body through the pores in her skin. Between the orb and projectile techniques taught at UDF and the marriage of all three of her spirits she’s devised her own unique magic applications. She can create small clouds of spores that increase the range of her fire spirit and also detonate the gas cloud like an orb would. This also can serve as a smokescreen defensively or even as a poison haze. She can also through the earth, ‘pull’ mycelium from underneath to serve as vine/web-like constructs to inhibit enemy movement or used as utility such as a rope swing. Finally she can spawn tiny mushrooms that have not yet removed their universal veil, if stepped on or the veil is breached they detonate as if they were tiny land mines.
Weapon load out consists of a standard UDF compact sub machine gun. It’s usually worn on a sling around her persons as if it were this seasons satchel or designer bag. Very chic. Next she has several throwing knives in banded holsters running up and down the length or her legs. Lastly, is her most go to weapon when she has to enter close quarters, her waist blade. Neatly position on the back of her waist is a sheathe/holster that houses her blade. It measures about 58 cms/22 inches and posses a circular pommel making it easier for her to retrieve and spin around if changing grip. Channeling her heat element she is able to superheat the tips of both the knives and her blade to increase the cutting and stopping power of both, nothing that could make reinforced doors look like Swiss cheese, but sufficient enough.
T R I V I A While other Aeons were endowed with harder skin or powerful legs, Eun-Ji was simply augmented with more nimble an dexterous hands. Her hands were originally lithe from her house hold chores, but now she’s one deft hand. Unrelatedly, she only takes ice cold showers.

P R E S E N C E On the surface, Isolde is a glamorous woman with a romantic and passionate sense of self. To cope with such a harsh world, she paints a beautiful scene--one befitting of a world as lovely as her dreams. She often uses informal terms of address when talking to people, like dear, deary, darling, love, sweetums, sugar, honey, etc. With her motherly expressionism and lyrical way of speaking, she appears to be someone who others can confide in for advice or shelter.
In reality, she's an imperious and ruthless woman.
Her sweet and demure words slice through steel; she'll insult you and it will sound poetic. It's not that she lacks empathy, it's just that she doesn't allow it to stop her from performing actions others would question. Isolde's intentions aren't usually malignant in nature, but simply, she has no qualms about doing what she must in order to achieve her personal and professional goals. In some ways, she's like an actress trapped in the mind of an old-timey character. It is this elegant inhumanity that makes her scary. She'll sacrifice you without hesitation and hum a lullaby while doing it.
When not in a lab coat, her style is quite opulent: fur coats, heavy jewelry, and luxury heels.
C H R O N I C L E Much of Lady Isolde's childhood is a mystery. Of what is known, she was born into an affluent family, a mother who served as head chairman for an energy conglomerate and a father who was a popular film actor. She received the highest education and achieved top marks with her natural intelligence. Some believe that, in her youth, she had an affinity for strange objects and was fond of collecting body parts from underground auctions (which her mother would get for her). But at most, it is understood that she was privileged, sheltered, and spoiled.
As a young adult, Isolde married several inner circle affluent men and women over the years, each one dying in mysterious ways and leaving her all the richer--not that she didn't already have money from her familial ties. During those marriages, the ever-widowed Isolde bore two children, Crystal and Marcus.
After the comet, Isolde's induction into the UDF was a given--as was law--even for the filthy fortunate and middle-aged 34-year-old women such as her. Inquisitive and a quick learner, Isolde, once again, excelled, especially in the research and science sectors of the organization where she was able to dissect things and learn what makes something tick. She quickly rose up through the ranks thanks to her mental aptitude and cognizance. But despite lady-like pleasantries and intelligence, something seemed off.
After she began serving as a lead scientist in the UDF's Research Division, Isolde became utterly possessed by a new idea; to find a cure. In the name of this lifelong goal, it was then that her true cruelty was revealed. She used comet spores stored deep in the classified areas of the Research Division and infected her young daughter with them. Unfortunately, the experiment proved unsuccessful and her daughter died in her teens. Undeterred, she infected her son Marcus and began experimenting on him. Though she did not find a cure, he would survive the infection.
Due to her scientific meddling, he would be left seriously disfigured and would eventually need to be fitted with cybernetic appendages (though they granted him enhanced strength). Their relationship is severely strained, as he resents his mother for mutilating him and killing his sister. But alas, he now serves as her bodyguard. Unbeknownst to her, however, he's acting as a double agent and is secretly fighting in an underground resistance affiliation called the LH (The Light of Humanity). They stand against the cruelty of the UDF and the major corporations. He's hoping to find a way to put an end to his mother's cruel experiments.
Isolde has no time to grieve or feel regret or have remorse. Her mission remains unchanged. At all costs.
F O R C E
Weapons wise, Isolde hides a tranquilizer gun on her person at all times. It paralyzes the target and is effective on humans, infected persons, and comet creatures.
As an Aeon, the spirits that Isolde possesses are not heavily combat-focused, as she spent most of her time in the Research Division of the UDF. However, her magic has not left her completely defenseless.
She can remove the presence of light around her to create utter darkness and then expand it outward to fill the area with this darkness, blinding any being caught within its radius. Isolde's eyes are enhanced, allowing her to see clearly within this area of darkness and it moves with her (as it emanates from around her). So if she moves far enough away from someone, the darkness follows her and the being will be free from its blinding radius.
Isolde can feel the presence of anyone caught within her darkness and react accordingly. Creatures with natural night vision or Aeons who also have enhanced sight are essentially immune.
Isolde can also shape this darkness into 100 shadowy moth-shaped sprites, which she can control. She can use her shadow moths to pick up and move objects for her. And she can use her enhanced eyes to see through them, allowing her to spy on others and surveillance several locations all at once.
However, Isolde cannot use both techniques at the same time.
P R E S E N C E Years of service and his previous lifestyle have refined Ifan's routine to an art. His hair is cut to two inches long, grown to three, then cut back to two. His clothes are generic, bulk-bought and in various shades of greens, greys, blues and sandy browns. He keeps his options limited; cargo and cordura pants, crew neck and v-neck t-shirts. Everything he does is in the spirit of self-reliance whilst fulfilling his role as part of a larger working machine. Ifan values independence and privacy, but he also values his team's mission. Sometimes one must be sabotaged for the other, and he will always prioritise the latter. His pride and his personhood are tied to the UDF.
Some people might describe Ifan as a bit of a hard-ass. He speaks briefly and literally, and entertains banter very little, though his knowledge and expertise as part of the Navigation Division showed he has no challenges intellectually. Given this role, he is driven on getting from point A to point Z and dislikes detours and disruptions. He has a very calm temperament, but knows when and how to draw a line with people. Most of his intimidation comes from his set jaw and sober expression, as well as his physically built build. Ifan isn't a gym rat like others in the UDF but enjoys working out to relieve frustration and remind him of the progress he has made in life. It's meditative to think about the level he can reach physically now he has the resources available to him.
C H R O N I C L E Ifan was born in a sprawling coastal city in Spiera. Elstad was dirty and unforgiving, with class division, crime and gang violence rampant. Years ago, politicians and the rich all but sealed themselves off from the lower class, building tall footbridges and elevated plazas across the congested streets and polluted roads, resigning themselves to their skyscrapers; castles of glass. It wasn't illegal to enter the 'upper levels', not even for the grimiest and most destitute, but the Elstad City Protection units always found something to book you for.
The message was received. Children were born into understanding that this was the way of life—the rich above, the poor below. There were politicians that tried to go against the order, to bring Elstad back to life, but the broadcasted speeches would stop as quickly as they came. Nobody saw what happened up in the sky, and so it never happened. With every generation the hope of change died.
After the comet arrived, things deteriorated further. Several pieces of debris hit the outer areas of the city, sinking them. Surrounding areas began to crumble away. With the flood barriers all but destroyed, waves of water ravaged the streets, demolishing anything they could. Elstad was drowning. Thousands flocked to the inner city, crowding the streets more than ever before. People would look up to the glass buildings towering above and pray for salvation that never came. The water level kept rising. Soon, the rest of them would be swept away too.
Something had awakened in Ifan. He had been homeless since his mother was killed when he was 19 years old, jumping from squat house to squat house. In the recent years he had turned to drinking and brawling, fighting for money and spending that money on more booze. When the tidal wave hit, it should have swallowed him whole. Ifan struggled and panicked, thrashing in the water when he slammed into something, winding him. The city seemed to sink and sink, then Ifan realised he was moving upwards—there was something beneath him, and it was moving fast. He shot above the water level, waves thrashing around a pillar of rock he was now laid on. When he stood up, more pillars rose to meet him. He walked to the crumbling edge of the inner city completely unharmed.
Months passed and tensions were the highest they'd ever been in Elstad. There were thousands of survivors, now homeless, desperate to reach the upper levels. ECP units instigated mass violence to keep them subdued, and riots became a daily occurrence. Debris had demolished most of the roads on the outskirts of the city—the only way out was by foot, and most didn't survive the journey. People who caught the Stigma were executed and their bodies burned in mass piles on roads.
Eventually, the infected outnumbered the City Patrol forces, and most weren't killed in time to prevent mutation. The recently formed UDF stepped in, establishing quarantine zones and initiating mass testing. Ifan had never gotten the sickness, but if a man is taken from the streets with no one to miss him, was he ever really there? He was, of course, less than cooperative, and when scientists at the testing facility noticed his resilience to use of force, and the force he himself had managed to hit several people with, he was immediately transferred to a more secure research facility.
In spite of himself, Ifan began to cooperate, even with the scans and needles and constant surveillance. When his withdrawals were bad, he witnessed terrifying visages. These were his spirits, he was told. He was an Aeon. How was a drunk host to such power? The UDF, begrudgingly, presented a lifeline. There were plenty other men of Ifan's age who were already combat-ready, or had less work to go than he did. But with his offensive capabilities, and knowledge that both parties needed the other, Ifan was conscripted to the Warfare Division.
The first two years were less of a struggle than anticipated. After five years homeless, Ifan was not going to jeopardize having four walls and a bed, nor the ability to eat and train and improve himself. His street-brawling experience, while messy, aided him. He responded well to tutelage. On the battlefield, his locational awareness and straight-forward thinking earned him a move to Navigation four years into his service. He was typically a driver for Warfare squadrons, tasked with getting a group of grunts to their destination and maintaining the vehicle that got them there. He is known for never saying no to a job and has travelled far and wide.
F O R C E Ifan's affinity is in the earth. Green was a colour unseen in Elstad, so his proficiency favours the rocks, stone and clay of the mountains rather than the dirt and grass of the forests. His channelling of the element allows him to tear pillars, barriers, spikes and boulders of rock up from the ground. The latter two he can launch towards targets, though only at a direct velocity from the point at which they originate.
At close range, Ifan can reinforce his fists with stone to put even more power into his punches. This technique can also be used defensively, reinforcing different areas of his body with stone 'plating' to reduce the impact of enemy attacks or even protect him from falls and crashes. It's not comfortable, but it works.
One of the key factors in Ifan's acquiring by the Navigation Division is his passive ability to detect targets and traverse his surroundings by sensing seismic vibrations. He can also use this to get an idea of a building's layout without even entering it, as long as he has access to one of the walls to create vibrations through it.
The firearms training all Warfare Division soldiers receive as standard has made Ifan comfortable enough to work with whatever is available to him, and he has no real preference in what he arms himself with for ranged combat. His brawling experience does mean he will try his luck more with hand-to-hand at shorter ranges, carrying a standard issue dagger with him in the cases where fists aren't enough.
T R I V I A ★ Despite earning the money to buy himself a reliable apartment in Castral, Ifan rarely takes R&R and spends the majority of his time on base.
★ From the little she told him growing up, his father was a corporate who impregnated Ifan's mother when she was sixteen, and threatened her family when he discovered the pregnancy. Ifan resents anybody in a corporate position.
★ The name "Zemat" is a traditional Spieran word, for whom their Aeon is a symbol of national pride, which describes the feeling of witnessing Spiera from the peak of the towering Dinius mountain. It symbolises national identity and hope.
P R E S E N C E With dyed pink locks, Mal bears numerous small scars and scratches of her years in service. She often wears jeans and a simple, black T-shirt outside of work attire. Initially stubborn and blunt to a fault, Mal does care for the people around her, instead opting to push them away so as to not be harmed by a "minor casualty". Above all else, Mal is loyal to people whether they notice it or not. Should she ever be caught in the act, though, Mal will brush it off as much as possible.
Surprisingly enough, though Mal does not like plans, she is not the type of person to go into a mission guns a-blazing. In fact, Mal is the type of person to figure things out as the mission goes on, holding an air of caution about her until she is confident about the situation and the best move in the moment. Sometimes, things don't go according to plan - Mal lives on the ideal of 'winging it'. Outside of her soldier life, she can often be seen as a common street person, even chatting with the locals as if she were a normal person. Mal has the dream of returning to normality, but as long as Aeons existed, she thought, the Legion was sure to follow.
C H R O N I C L E Known to be a bit of a stubborn soldier, Mal works well when she is pointed to an enemy and told to fire. She isn't one to like working with others, and has gotten a slightly negative reputation from her not being afraid to speak her mind to others. Prior to this mission, in the 4 years of serving the UDF, Mal faced one of the Legion. In fact, that is what caused her to form metallic plates around a wound that it created on her arm. Mal refuses to speak of this incident, but it seems that, before then, she was an ambitious and positive soldier to be among the ranks.
Of course, that is what most people know of her. In actuality, Matilda came from a low-income family with her father (Andrew) and older sister (Samantha), 8 years Matilda's senior. Mal grew in a basic education system, though nothing special in terms of learning. She took to track well in her earlier years of what Matilda called her 'childhood' - before the comet had made itself a satellite of chaos to her world. Should she have had the choice, she would have sacrificed a hundred Archons to be rid of the Stigma and its source.
From the tragedy, the streets were more crowded and crime rates went up, as did the rate of people killed by either the new disease or a desperate criminal. Mal never understood statistics, but she knew that she would have become one if it were not for the spirits that found their way to her, attracted by her by pity or by potential, she never knew. The girl, then 17, was reckless and impulsive, doing just about anything for her family. At some points, Samantha would even question how she had gotten the family food for the night, or how she had fixed the hole in the roof while she and Andrew were out working. Mal often came up with a white lie - she didn't want to be shipped off to the UDF at her age - she didn't think she'd like it there, considering her beliefs of disarray, fluctuation, and her general dislike of strict people.
Alas, Matilda was not one to easily hide her secrets, and soon enough, when she was 19, Matilda was found out by her father, who had strong opinions for the UDF. To Mal, he saw them as a beacon of hope - and in truth, they were the only hope humanity had. So, after much pressure from her father and sister, Mal went to enlist in the UDF, showing proof of her element and its capabilities. She was a good soldier, keeping to herself most of the time, but she did her job well. Occasionally, she would hang around her fellow soldiers, and she was known to be a hearty, humorous, and wholesome soul amongst the group.
Sadly, her innocence as a soldier was subject to change as she prepared for her first real mission: to fight a band of Legions, back when the UDF was pairing Archons and Human soldiers together. Had it not been for the spirits, Mal's arm would have been torn of, and probably infected with the Stigma. The tragedy of that day hollowed the soldier as she understood now the risk of war, of fighting. Somehow, something else besides the old pressure of her family kept her going, something that Matilda didn't see within her: Dignity.
F O R C E Mal uses a standardized pistol (which she has named "Hamlet") when she isn't manipulating the metal around her. When not firing out on the range, she commonly uses metallic projectiles alongside Hamlet to cause a massive barrage of bullets and shrapnel to hit enemies from afar. From being an Aeon, her reaction time to threats has heightened to a degree that, if Mal concentrates, she can look out for danger that may target someone else other than her, though she has minimal experience with it.
In addition to her projectiles, Mal can use the metal of the earth to shield herself or allies, though this takes concentration and a deal of energy to pull off. Her ace up her sleeve, however, is her ability to 'reverse' her shielding affect, containing a singular enemy for as much as 30 seconds if not concentrating on it completely.

P R E S E N C E Aristocracy alludes to hubris and sensuous refinement, sidled beside clandestine features stark and pallid against soot black wears from dawn to dusk. From booted feet to a delicate throat heralded with scars; cinched tight in cotton threads where ink-wisps of obsidian scales peak upon her nape, every cleft refined through persistent cardio and contortionist aptitude. Scylla's debut is an assortment; defined as both beauty and soldier, sometimes muttered as friend and foe, lover and scornful. She's a creature of ravenous qualms and careless endeavors simply because she can -- there is a void that must be fed and she is its keeper.
C H R O N I C L E They would coin her cruel and apathetic to mortal intricacies, but Scylla is a creature of life and the luxuries of freedom. And she enjoys them to the fullest.
But, it was not always so.
Located past spires of obsidia -- an alloy later derived from cavernous mines and utilized in various forms of weaponry and armor -- towards the northern banks of Cetra lies the expanse of Tenebre: one of the last remaining city-states yonder reach of the UDF.
Within spires of black and gilded metal and stone remains the bloodline of Fleurane, a line of nobility that has flourished through the years as would-be Kings and Queens. Royalty is an archaic term coined to their renown, no less powerful in their govern and the militia they commanded when compared to other conglomerates. A prominent family, Scions of the Deep they mutter, for Tenebre has also been alleged as the resting place of an Archon: the Leviathan. Her likeness is often reflected into the architecture with a prominent use of patterned scales and iridescent blues, a myriad of wealth and color that is ever changing much like the sea. The Fleurane doctrine allies closely with the spiritual worship of the Etro, heavily endowed to the favor of their patron serpent that lies in wait -- they say -- the harbinger of storms and the wrath of the sea, blessing those descended from her spiritual manifest. Many of those living in Tenebre are spiritually inclined, the Fleurane family being the most prominent and susceptible.
During a raging storm that shook the house foundations, Scylla was born.
If only she were not the bastard daughter of Michael Fleurane perhaps a childhood rife with the need to prove oneself and a yearning to love would be exchanged for one of familial affections and endearment. Suffice to say, Scylla was not necessarily wanted, but no less needed. Michael needed an heir, a child, one his wife could not give. Scylla's birthmother was ranked into their rather infamous infantry, the class of Dragoons that Tenebre regales in obsidia armor and fitted with an arsenal of spears and lances. Inspired by the Archon slumbering in the depths of the ocean, the Dragoons were known widely for their sheer numbers and command in the vast armada Tenebre stationed out in the vast Lullin Seas: Leviathan's resting place.
Though not hers by birth, Michael's wife doted upon her, but could not bring herself to love the child with hair white as the snow that often capped the Obsidia Ridge. When she came to bear children of her own finally some years later, Scylla's sudden insurance was doubted even as she grew older, her birthmother was often permitted on leave to visit her within those gilded spires and she too feared for her place at Michael's side despite so many years warming his bed. As first born, her place was secure to a degree, but it was by the sly suggestion of the woman who partially raised her that Scylla join her mother in the legion of Dragoons. Michael did not object.
What better candidate than your own blood, my love.
It was isolation --banishment-- donned in the color of reward, to give birth to the first Fleurane child and be able to keep her though the shame of bastardization would be cloaked upon her back for eternity. But, this was also liberation, to wield the Fleurane name as she desired without the shackles of nobility. For often as a child she was subdued and inhibited, repressed with the desire to please both father and mother - maker and keeper. For two years she trained as a Dragoon, wielding lance and blade alike. Often those early days would bleed out into a monochromatic discrepancy of warriorhood, the life of routine and guardianship, eyes wed to the banks of the sea where she felt the pull of something. For often Scylla would look upon the many renditions of the Leviathan and there she would find something of admiration to the dominating force of a would-be god.
When the comet arrived, Tenebre sealed itself away further, guarded not only by mountains but by the leagues of ebonette soldiers stationed betwixt caverns and valleys, taken from the sea to push back the sudden threat of an invasion. Debris fell close enough to warrant once sea-faring soldiers to traverse ragged peaks, forming a mountainous legion as the rest of the world fell into the United Defense Force. Tenebre remained sectioned away from the world, never committing to the war effort upon pretenses of tending to their own govern - it did not go unnoticed.
As the world tended to the manifestation of esoteric flora and fauna, many corporations -even those significant as BlackRock, VanGuard, ApeX, and MonArch- suddenly appeared at the base of Obsidia Ridge, banking into the mountainside and harnessing a portion of control over the mines per a temporary peace exchange between the conglomerates and the Fleurane house. For five years this fragile peace did endure, the corporations inching ever closer year by year as the UDF began pressuring Tenebre to surrender its Dragoons to the front lines where the thickest of detritus fell and the infection with it rampaged. The factions wanted something, even going as far as to use the marine infusion reactors as a bargaining ploy to reach Tenebre's sprawling inner city, in this the Fleurane household refused to budge, but declining resources from their isolation led them to yield territory none the less.
With some of the obsidia mountains and Lullin shores now under control of the corporations, it was not much longer till the UDF managed to secure their own Dragoon's for the cause under the guise of working together to keep the factions from gaining more Tenebre territory. However, such aide was not without a price and Scylla was the immediate currency. Her manifestation of spirits did not go unheard of to the UDF, for the raging torrent of waters and wind came to her beckoning call as a storm, the well of spirits domineering with their refusal to go unseen and unheard.
For five years now Scylla has made an interesting reputation as not only an Aeon, but as an exotic front to what many people see as a different world, for Tenebre remains as independent as one can manage with both the UDF and many corporations lingering just outside its borders. As a former Dragoon Scylla was penned for the Warfare Division immediately wherein she has garnered her serpentine moniker from her battle strategies and impressive aquatic affinity and effortless reign in those depths. Superiors would call her wild and unhinged, she would rather call herself efficient. With a high deployment and success rate, Scylla has a tendency to be utilized as a solitary unit, a rather sudden change compared to years prior in working with many others.
The fact that the UDF often questions her about her home and the sea and what lies within - well, there's only so much a woman is willing to tell. For she is a Fleurane - even a forsaken one - and prideful above all else.
F O R C E Scylla has always had an affinity for water, as a Fleurane this proficiency is a given attribute. Harsh spirits of air also work along side their aquatic companions, creating maelstroms of terrifying quality. The depths of sea are vast and cannot be tamed, concealing secrets and truths and lies, darkness is their herald and she their master. Over the years of applying various techniques taught by the UDF, Scylla has been able to pull moisture from the air to create globes of sorts, used in creative manners by different applications of pressure to even launch high emission beams of water capable of cutting through a vast assortment of materials. Recently she has been experimenting with the viscosity of certain liquids that are water-based in nature and formula.
Scylla can reach rather daring depths in water, her spirits working in tandem to ease the pressure off her body the deeper she goes and those of air providing her with elongated breath to breach the unseen. Suspended in any body of water, she can also bid and command her spirits to fashion whirlpools and manifest waves that crest high over friends and foes alike.
[&&] Her former years as a Dragoon -- though seemingly short -- has outfitted Scylla with an accomplished practice with both lances and spears. Before being drafted into the UDF, she was bequeathed with a unique lance that is capable of being detached for dual wielding finesse and conjoined just as easily to extend her reach. Crafted of obsidia alloy, the double bladed ends are carefully holstered on suspension units designed into her military issued attire, usually detached and within reach for her to easily reach back over her shoulders to draw them. Their connection point is held together by a simplistic locking mechanism that requires one simple twist to secure the poles in place.
Outside the means of her typical arsenal, Scylla can wield various firearms issued through the UDF. Her expertise with them varies, as it stands she has been assigned two standard service pistols and an assault rifle with a bayonet attachment.
T R I V I A && Scylla is freakishly flexible. && Scylla also enjoys fish as a meal prepared in any fashion. && Upon the majority of her back Scylla has tattoos that are designed as rippling scales that even span down the back of her arms and thighs. && The scars on her neck are a story she refuses to tell.
